Constellium Decin plant manufactures aluminium bars and hard alloy aluminium profiles in all basic shapes.

Aluminium bars and hard alloy profiles for all purposes

Forgings for automotive suspension components

Available in a comprehensive range of aluminium alloys and dimensions, Constellium Decin plant’s aluminium bars and hard alloy aluminium profiles have several industrial applications.

These include forged parts for automotive suspension components and anti‑lock braking system and electronic stability programme (ABS/ESP) housings.

Aluminium bars

We produce bars in all basic shapes (round, square, flat and hexagonal) and in a full selection of soft and hard aluminium alloys.

Hard alloy aluminium profiles

Our hard alloy profiles are available in simple and complex shapes. Due to their mechanical properties, these aluminium products are mainly used for machining applications.

These aluminium profiles can be manufactured to a range of specifications:

  •
    With a circumscribed circle from 14 to 250 mm - EN 755-1,2,9
  •
    Wall thicknesses from 1 mm
  •
Ratio of circumscribed circle to wall thickness of a minimum of 50:1. This corresponds to a maximum cross-section area of 12,500 mm2
  •
    Other dimensions on request.

The most common aluminium alloy families we work with are 2xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx. Our portfolio of 80 basic and customized aluminium alloys features improved machinability, especially for computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining, which yields higher productivity.

Customers can also request hard alloy aluminium profiles manufactured to their specific requirements.
