The building market now accounts for almost 50% of total soft‑alloy extrusion consumption in Europe. The major applications for aluminium extrusions in building are windows, doors and curtain wall systems. Other applications include scaffold and form works, building interiors (shower cabins, furniture, stairs, elevators, lighting, railings, etc.), and building exteriors (dam logs, roller shutters, sun louvers, swimming pool equipment, garden furniture, etc.).
