Constellium giving insights on lightweight metallic structures for transportation applications

Constellium will participate to a symposium on lightweight metallic structures for transportation applications at the “Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne”, a French school of mines, on April 3rd, 2012.

The conference aims at presenting the latest trends in metals within the aerospace and automotive industries, from material design (aluminium, high strength steel, titanium, etc.) to particular processes developed for transportation applications.

The event is organized jointly by the “Cercle d’Etudes des Métaux”, a French association promoting metallurgy and the use of metals within the industrial world, the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne and the ARDI Rhône-Alpes, an organization aiming at supporting locally the sustainable development through innovation.

About Constellium’s participation

Through material lightweighting, Constellium is using aluminium to help industries addressing part of their environmental challenges.

Constellium will be represented at this conference by Bruno Dubost, Science Director Technology & Innovation at Constellium’s research center dedicated to design and develop lightweight aluminium solutions for tomorrow’s uses. Bruno Dubost will give a presentation  on “new lightweight aluminium solutions for aerospace and automotive body structures” during the afternoon animated by Michel Darrieulat, Vice-President of the Cercle d’Etudes des Métaux.
