Medical Intern

Job Summary:  

Assist in patient assessments and collect patients' blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; prepared examination rooms, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the work environment. Provided beneficial advice and support to patients on various diseases/disorders, general healthcare, and treatment options. 

 
Responsibilities: 

• Assist nursing staff in uploading old medical records into electronic medical record 

• Assist in working up new hire physicals 

• Assist in working up sick visits as well as chronic disease management 

• Assist with any health projects throughout the year 

Qualifications: 

• Currently seeking a nursing, medical assistant or related degree 

• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel 

• Willingness Use of electronic medical record 

• Medications and their dosages, uses, side effects, etc. 

• Common occupational health hazards and diseases 

• Critical thinking skills 

• Learn how to draw blood, perform EKGs, collect and read a urine drug screen, vital signs, administer medications, including injections, perform COVID, flu, strep testing.  

• to learn nursing skills and tasks
