Primary Purpose
The Combustion Engineer will provide technical support for the various combustion systems throughout that facility. This includes identifying and correcting deficiencies, defining improvement projects and participating in major capital improvements.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Combustion Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following job duties:
- Maintain a working relationship with vendors and remain up-to-date on the latest combustion and combustion controls technology
- Lead and participate in problem solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and production. Drive resolution of chronic problems within area of expertise & organize support from other resources when necessary.
- Use of data historians to analyze process issues and provide input to solve problems
- Identify and implement combustion control solutions that will support process improvements and improve equipment reliability
- Mentor and train employees to increase their working knowledge of combustion theory, safety, process and control
- Develop and deploy standard practices for design, control and maintenance of plant combustion systems
- Identify, participate, and occasionally lead capital and improvement projects by providing engineering, startup and operational support within area of expertise
Leadership Competencies / Technical Skills Requirement
Technical Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred OR
- 10 Years of comparable industrial energy management with proven track record
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and coach effectively in verbal and written formats
- Strong time management skills
- Working knowledge of PLC and HMI Controls
- Highly skilled in troubleshooting all types of combustion control systems
- Proficient with NFPA and NEC codes
- Microsoft Project, Excel, Word proficiency required – HIGHLY SKILLED
- Microsoft Power BI and/or Visual Basic experience is a plus
