Job Summary: The Bowling Green Finance Director gives his/her support to the plant manager and to the organizational leadership to steer, to optimize the financial performance and to provide with a true and fair view of the state of the business. This role leads financial activities, assures proper internal controls, provides company direction on compliance with Code of Conduct, and oversees accounting, group reporting, internal controls, financial planning, treasury, legal, tax, IT and insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Leads financial activities (close the books each month, perform Group reporting and forecasts, manage tax topics,…)
- Assures proper internal controls (review efficiency of the controls, check anti-corruption measures,…) and maintains relations with internal and external auditors
- Manages a team of 5 Constellium employees
- Gives his/her support to the APU manager and to the organizational leadership to steer and to optimize the financial performance
- The role covers a large range of activities with limited external support (mainly tax, legal, BU, Group for technical accounting topics)
- Meet deadlines, as the site is part of a wider group
- Work in an international, industrial and team-oriented environment
- Utilizes financial component of the plant ERP system
- Ability to work at different levels, from reviewing manual entries to participating to strategic reviews and investment decisions
- Ability to give insights for business decision, to manage manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement or Sales topics with the accounting and financial perspectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (other business degree will be considered). CPA is highly preferred
- 5-8 years Accounting with an additional 3-5 years supervisory experience is required
- Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
- Must possess management skills in leadership; delegation and supervision, organizing and planning and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution
- Must have superior analytical skills with impeccable judgment with experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
- Candidates should have the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines, multi-task and perform in a team-oriented environment
- Requires effective written and oral communication skills sufficient to communicate with all levels of the organization, bankers and customers
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office is required
