Job Summary:

To provide leadership and management for all activities in Project Newton. Provide support to Constellium’s overall business goals and objectives.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the necessary leadership to manage all aspects of efficient Coil processing operations 
  • Position is responsible for coordinating safety, quality, productivity, maintenance and continuous improvement.  
  • Provide support to central and corporate engineering groups.
  • Position holder must have at least 4 years of operating experience inside an aluminium rolling mill to fully understand the relationships between the different departments and the process flow necessary for optimum throughput
  • Position holder should have continuous improvement and lean manufacturing expertise in order to provide the leadership necessary to identify and resolve problems.
  • Must be willing and able to act independently and lead the effort to determine root cause and implement corrective actions, as required 
  • Must identify key process indicators required for executing Constellium’s annual objectives and provide the leadership to see that the necessary action plans required to achieve the targets are developed and put into motion
  • Position holder must develop and execute an annual spending budget.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strongly preferred: Clear understanding of the rolling process with a minimum 4 years’ experience
  • Strongly preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related discipline
    • Extensive, aluminum industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Requires strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage and develop in a team environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Requires strong employee development skills
  • Knowledgeable of production and maintenance functions in rolling operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to Environment, Health and Safety
  • Requires commitment to established Standard Operating Procedures, problem solving, and best quality practices
