Supply Chain Manager - Melt & Cast

Primary Purpose

The Supply Manager – Melt & Cast is responsible for the Production Planning and Production Scheduling for E13 and the Cast House at Muscle Shoals.  They are also responsible for all aspects of Metal Receiving and Inventory for the Plant.  This position is responsible to coordinate with the E13 and Cast House manufacturing units to ensure they are enabled to meet their monthly plans and can safely execute the strategy of the plant.  This position also coordinates very closely with Constellium Metal Procurement to ensure the correct signals are sent to metal procurement team to achieve plant production and overall inventory targets.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure daily schedule is in place for E13 and the Cast House
• Responsible to ensure daily production plans are in place for customer priorities
• Responsible for weekly ingot purchase process to ensure plant is buying correct amount of the right ingot
• Responsible for weekly raw material purchase review to ensure plant is buying correct amount of the right raw material
• Responsible for Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory counts
• Responsible for ensuring Metal Receiving is operating as required to receive metal into the plant

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain, molten or casting experience, and/or production scheduling/planning in a manufacturing environment (aluminum industry preferred).
• Experience managing a team of people spread across a large manufacturing site.
• College degree required
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including high proficiency in Excel
• Result orientation, accountability, negotiation, problem solving, project and change management, and team working/building
• Good communication, high level of autonomy, collaboration and interpersonal skills are equally important
• Perform, understand and communicate detailed information analysis and evaluation, and have a good track record working effectively within a team-based environment
• Language fluency in English.
