Our various sites undertook a range of initiatives for local communities in 2021. Here are some examples:

U.S.: Bowling Green employees donated classroom supplies to three public schools. Ravenswood’s volunteers hosted a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross, donating 34 units. Our Plymouth, and Van Buren sites supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with their annual 5k walk/run, raising more than $3,000 to help defeat childhood cancer. Our teams at Bowling Green, White, and Plymouth wore pink to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month, while Van Buren handed out t-shirts and wristbands as part of their “Pink Out The Plant” days.

Germany: Nine employees from our Dahenfeld site participated in a 21-day "Cycling for a Better Climate" competition, biking nearly 1,550 km and avoiding 228 kg of CO2 emissions compared to other forms of transportation. At Gottmadingen and Singen, our employees bought gifts from the Christmas wish lists of around 80 kids at a local children’s home.

France: Our C-TEC research center donated 22 laptops to WeeeFund, an association that reconditions computers and makes them available to people or organizations in financial difficulty. Issoire employees joined in the Issoir'Ose run against cancer, and supported a local running and walking event to help disadvantaged children.

Slovakia: Waste bags with the motto "greener future" were distributed for Žilina employees to pick up trash when walking around the area. The site organized a summer camp for employees' children, and held a sports day to promote team spirit among employees.

Spain: The HC San Rafael is a care center for people with intellectual disabilities near our Vigo site. It includes a small welding workshop, and our plant took on some of the welders as interns, giving them exposure to a work environment while increasing their employability.
