Key Accountabilities

  1. Implement the tools & processes and create the internal network aimed at installing a cost culture in Constellium
  • Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to measure the performance of the Company on costs
  • Monitor/Drive progress on cost improvement program in place (Vision 2025, other to be suggested)
  • Create visibility into the development of costs and the underlying causes:  Communicate financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics on a regular basis. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions and their follow up

 

  1. Management reporting – with focus on costs

Drive FP&A management reporting activities which include, but are not limited to, support the plants to submit timely monthly financial results, checks and analysis, preparation for executive reviews, and general financial analysis in support of business objectives as far as costs are concerned

  • Prepare presentations to support board meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various other finance related committees of the company.
  • Partner with other departments of the company as appropriate, starting with procurement and plant finance; support the Planning/Budgeting/Forecasting processes in establishing cost assumptions

 

  1. External communications
  • Earnings calls: Provide input, check and review external communication materials including production of Adj. EBITDA year-over-year bridges, review of data and of segment summary performance for accuracy and relevance
  • Role in the future ESG reporting / control process to be defined

  • Strong communicator, able to manage conflicting agendas and reach objectives
  •  “Fluent” in financial analysis and versed in accounting
  • Agile – Ability to switch topics quickly jump on a new topic and follow it through, organized with the ability to contribute to multiple projects within tight timelines
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, in English and in French
  • Proficient in Excel / MS Office and at efficiently manipulating large data sets – Demonstrates appetite for information system
  • Detail oriented with analytical skills – Ability to simplify messages and conclusions
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

 

Complexity

High – Role is central, Group is decentralized and in part heterogeneous, with the following implications

  • Multiple interactions, from plants to Corporate functions; Although the sheer financial data collection process is standard, most of non-financial indicators are not and angles of analysis differ from one Business Unit / plant to another
  • High intellectual agility required to manage ExCom members asks and link with Plant / BU partners
  • Role is very often about defining guidelines that apply to all, therefore requiring significant conviction skills to create consensus or find a suitable work-around
