Constellium at the 32nd European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working Symposium

Constellium will participate at the 32nd EFB (Europäische Forschungsgesellschaft für Blechverarbeitung - European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working) Symposium.

The EFB association focuses on research in the field of metal processing and regularly organizes conferences to gather metal processing companies and research institutes to discuss new trends and solutions.

The 32nd conference organized by the association, entitled “Production of Systems and Methods for the Lightweighting - Precursor to E-mobility”, will take place on February 14-15th 2012, in Bad Boll (a city located near Stuttgart in Germany).

About Constellium’s participation

Lightweighting is a must in the automotive industry, and body sheet will play a key role in tomorrow’s car.

As one of the major actors in the automotive body sheet industry recognized for its comprehensive portfolio with high formable and high strength lightweighting materials, Constellium will be represented at the EFB conference by Markus Gehrig, from its Specialty Sheet's division Body-in-White technical customer service.

Mr Gehrig will be holding a session on February 14th entitled "Aluminium Lightweight Design on the Pininfarina Bluecar". During his presentation, he will be highlighting the great contribution of aluminium to the lightweighting of e-vehicles (electric vehicles) which also participates in extending the driving distance.
