Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure System Specialist works with Local, Regional, and Global IT Groups to provide 1st and 2nd level lifecycle support of local endpoints; mobile devices; accessories; network printing; other IT/office systems; network and server infrastructure; server maintenance; backups & restore; user onboarding / offboarding; and overall 1st and 2nd level end-user support.

 

The candidate should have a solid understanding of IT principles and be able to effectively apply industry best practices to the array of legacy and modern information technology architecture and technologies.

 

This role will collaborate effectively on solutions and priorities by working closely with peers across the global IT organization in infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and operational business partners.

 

Responsibilities:

Required:

  • Windows (Win 7, Win 10, Win 11) configuration and support
  • Windows Server (2019, 2022) administration
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of PC and Server hardware.
  • Patch management (BigFix experience a plus)
  • Active Directory
    • Understand how to manage AD users and groups amongst different OUs.
    • Understand GPOs.
    • Manage user permissions.
    • Manage NTFS security permissions.
  • Networking fundamentals
    • Configure and troubleshoot basic TCP/IP protocols (FTP, DNS, etc.).
    • Configure and troubleshoot filesharing protocols (NFS, CIFS, SMB, etc.).
    • Basic troubleshooting and configuration of network devices (VLAN, ports)
    • Verify and troubleshoot basic firewall settings.
    • Review and analyze firewall logs.

Preferred:

  • Cybersecurity experience a plus.
    • Experience with vulnerability management, such as Tenable.
    • XDR and EDR experience a plus, such as CortexXDR.
    • Knowledge of Threat Intelligence a plus.
  • Thin client administration a plus
  • Virtualization experience a plus (VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V preferred)
    • Understand basic vSphere and ESXi concepts (vMotion, HA, DRS, etc.).
    • Understand basic Hyper-V concepts (Live Migration, PRO, etc.).
    • Basic vCenter admin experience a plus.
    • Basic Hyper-V Manager admin experience a plus.
  • Linux experience a plus

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent degree is preferred
  • Good communication skills and some experience with presenting to a team or group.
  • Ability to work effectively to perform in a team-oriented, manufacturing environment
  • Pragmatism to analyze and manage incidents/problems and develop solutions to resolve them
  • Act as change agent and to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

 

About Constellium Muscle Shoals:

Constellium Muscle Shoals is a major aluminum sheet supplier for the packaging and automotive markets. The plant has ~1,200 employees and more than 100 acres under room, including five casting units, hot and cold rolling mills, and a slitting and finishing center. Muscle Shoals produces aluminum sheet for use in all three components of beverage cans (body stock, coated end stock, tab stock) and can produce over 1 billion pounds per year of finished aluminum coils. The plant also produces aluminum automotive coils to be processed at our CALP line in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Muscle Shoals’ world-class recycling center can recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminum cans per year.
