Manufacturing capabilities
The integrated hot/cold rolling system allows unique metallurgical properties and short lead times. Products are sheets and coils with multiple surfaces, tempers and alloys. Singen’s strengths are products with high surface and very good formability properties.
High-grade cold mills and finishing equipment with special surface capabilities including bright finish, Electrical Discharge Texturing (EDT) and an annealing line for the Auto Body Sheet market.
The extrusion plant’s shop supplies material to automotive, transportation and industry markets. It hosts the largest press (100 MN) in Western Europe and has capabilities for profiles up to 750 mm width and 30 m long.
The automotive press lines are dedicated to producing semis for crash management applications. A dedicated unit allows the production of light-weighted side-impact beams ready for the OEM assembly lines.
The plant also has dedicated technology and equipment to produce long-lasting aluminum/steel co-extruded conductor rails.

Singen, Gottmadingen, and Dahenfeld sites have jointly committed to a 10% Greenhouse Gas emissions intensity reduction from 2015 to 2020. We expect this target, which addresses both direct and indirect emissions, to be met thanks to our energy efficiency improvement program at each site.
Our casting and rolling operations in Singen, Germany, have received the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard & Chain of Custody Standard certificate in 2019 and started delivering ASI certified products for our customers in 2020.
