Job Summary: The Account Management Specialist manages communications with our customers, our manufacturing plant, and outside processors/tollers as required. Relationships are developed with the respective contacts at each customer location to assure accurate and timely order fulfillment which drives and sustains continued sales. As our customers and internal operations are dynamic, the role may be on-call to manage customer services tasks during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Customer Relations: This position is a key liaison between the organization and our customers acting as a primary contact to customer materials contacts to build and maintain rapport analyzing and anticipating customers’ needs, requiring a high level of communication and organization skills.
- Serve as a primary contact point for customers regarding shipments, short-term forecasting through EDI, and system issues
- Research and respond to order status inquires, expedite requests, inventory and lead time inquires, and trial requests. Resolve all customer issues and complaints
- Analyze significant discrepancies between the customers forecasted demand and the real consumption developing, communicating, and promoting internal and external action plans to resolve/align
- Process and enter orders into the applicable systems as required for products and track progress until their completion
- Perform and transmit stocks movements corresponding to the deliveries and pick up locations, monitor and audit inventory for aging and correctness
- Ensure pricing is correctly into applicable system per the customer purchase order during the order entry process
- Manage supply flow to ensure customer demand covered to ship on time in full, escalating issues as needed
- Support Sales and Technical Team members as week as day-to-day operations
- Assist in new business program launches- establishing new customer relationships, process and or material flow paths, and system updates/modifications
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field, or 1-3 Years commensurate experience in Account or Delivery Management and/or Supply Chain preferred
- Demonstration of analytical, communication and organizational skills required
- Exceptional computer skills required
- Enterprise Resource System (ERP) experience is a plus
