Job Summary:

This role provides essential electrical support across all Central Maintenance operations, including the Roll Shop, Fab Shop, Machine Shop, Garage, Projects, and Central areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, hands-on field experience, and the ability to effectively troubleshoot in a collaborative, team-oriented environment


Responsibilities:

  • NFPA 70E system management and continuous improvement
  • Provides direct support for 138KV transformer yard down to 480V Substations throughout the plant
  • Provides PLC and any electrical support needed for all Central Maintenance assets
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage the 480 substations PM schedule and compliance for the entire plant
  • Lead / develop electrical projects throughout various locations in the plant as needed
  • Field validates and coordinates electrical designs and plans with other central departments
  • Audit new and existing electrical installations for design and standard compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 10 years of electrical experience in an industrial environment, required
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing under specific area of discipline, required
  • Willingness to learn, required
  • Ability to adapt to a new environment, required
  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences, preferred
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, preferred

Dimensions:

  • Scope: This position will operate across the entire plant, serving as a support function for central maintenance.
  • Magnitude: Although this is a front-line role, it carries significant financial implications—particularly if project crews fail to offset the need for contracted services, potentially affecting cash flow.
  • Communications: The role requires communication at the general supervisor level and collaboration across most APU areas. It also involves providing leadership in technical domains, including construction management.
  • Challenges: Key challenges include coordinating efforts across departments with a wide geographical spread and ensuring customer satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality outcomes
