Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Visual Plant Floor initiatives. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related fields who are passionate about lean manufacturing, visual management, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the design and implementation of visual management tools on the plant floor (e.g., signage, floor markings, shadow boards, KPI boards).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for visual improvement and standardization.
• Support 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives through visual enhancements.
• Create and update digital and physical visual aids using tools like Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and a sign maker.
• Conduct time studies and workflow observations to inform visual layout improvements.
• Help maintain and audit visual standards across the plant floor.
• Document best practices and contribute to training materials for plant personnel.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong interest in lean manufacturing and visual management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with design software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and plant layouts.

- Offers:
- Intern offers are for Summer 2026 with a scheduled start date in May of 2026 ending in August 2026
- Interns and co-ops will need to complete a background check, drug screen, and physical before starting employment with Constellium.
- Interns and co-ops will turn in a copy of their transcript at the beginning of every new work term and or semester.
- Interns and co-ops can be offered additional work terms after graduation. Once they reach a year after graduation, interns and co-ops will not be offered another work term.
- Compensation/Benefits
- Time off
- Interns and co-ops will receive 2 paid personal days per work term and or semester
- Interns and co-ops can take unpaid time off per manager approval.
- Reimbursements
- Interns and Co-ops qualify for the safety shoe and safety glasses reimbursement.
- Interns and co-ops will receive pay raises based on their class standing. To get a pay raise interns and co-ops will need to turn in their transcript.
- Interns and co-ops are eligible for a monthly $750 housing stipend if they live 50 miles away from their home location. To receive the stipend interns and co-ops will need to fill out the housing stipend form and provide the required documentation.
- Interns and co-ops qualify for expense reimbursements, only if they had manager and intern coordinator approval ahead of time
