Primary Purpose:

The Scheduling and Control Manager develops, manages, and communicates, monthly spending and scheduling plans for planned and unplanned downtime maintenance work. Analysis, training and reporting of APU OpEx for Reliability and Engineering; spend profile management; forecasting for future years and system development is also required.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conducts cost planning reviews of upcoming spend plans
  • Administers and approves access to reporting
  • Verifies and provides oversight for site wide contracts for infrastructure repairs and rebuilds
  • Develops the central planning team to create required work orders and job plans for central infrastructure work orders
  • Updates Supply Chain with site wide calendar for outages and planned downtime
  • Facilitates monthly OpEx review meetings with maintenance team
  • Facilitates monthly Work Order Backlog and preventive maintenance KPI review meetings
  • Works with Accounting to ensure appropriate cost structures and procedures are followed for accuracy of cost reporting
  • Monitors Muscle Shoals spending compared to other Constellium sites utilizing corporate input
  • Develops and conducts SAP training for the central group and APU Reliability teams
  • Manages scheduling of Constellium’s Central Maintenance resources of scheduled work
  • Manages central scheduling of contractor resources for scheduled work
  • Manages the reporting of OpEx spend and budget reconciliation
  • Works with Finance and APU managers to establish the Maintenance OpEx budget, spend plan and profile
  • Audits the work management process to verify adherence and compliance to the requirements set out to support the work order costing / forecasting program
  • Develops tools to provide analysis for forecasting and budgeting purposes for each APU
  • Works with the Finance team to ensure budgets for upcoming fiscal year is accounted for in SAP by department

 

Leadership competencies, technical skills requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration/management or technical field preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in verbal or written formats
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Project coordination experience, scheduling, planning and communications
  • Microsoft Project, Excel, Word proficiency required – HIGHLY SKILLED
  • Experience with SAP – ‘power user’ required
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Experience required
  • Exceptional team working skills
