Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Instructional Design Intern to join our Learning and Development team. This intern will be responsible for developing interactive e-learning modules that will transition current instructor-led training (ILT) into on-demand digital learning experiences. Utilizing tools such as Easy Generator, PowerPoint, and Canva, the intern will partner with department leaders to create engaging learning modules with assessment questions to ensure learning retention. Additionally, the intern will handle the creation of training videos, including recording, editing, and organizing video content to produce high-quality instructional materials that enhance the learning experience of our employees.


Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Training and Development Specialist and ASNA on learning and development initiatives.
  • E-Learning Module Development: Design and develop e-learning modules using Easy Generator, PowerPoint, Canva, and other tools.
  • Content Expansion: Collaborate with department leaders to expand and refine existing materials and develop meaningful learning content and assessments.
  • Assessment Integration: Create quizzes and assessment questions to ensure learner comprehension and knowledge retention.
  • LMS Integration: Upload completed e-learning modules to the Learning Management System (LMS) for on-demand access.
  • Feedback Incorporation: Present completed modules to department leaders for review, incorporate feedback, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Training Material Transformation: Transition traditional ILT materials into scalable, interactive, and consistent digital learning experiences.
  • Responsible for recording, editing, and structuring training videos to create engaging and effective learning materials for learners. This includes planning video content, capturing high-quality footage, and utilizing video editing software to produce polished instructional videos.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of continuous improvement projects to enhance the department and organization.
  • All other duties assigned necessary to perform the job.

Qualifications

  • Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with e-learning tools such as Easy Generator, Canva, and PowerPoint (experience with LMS platforms is a plus).
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work with subject matter experts and department leaders to identify learning objectives and refine content.
  • Creativity: Demonstrated ability to design visually engaging and interactive e-learning experiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and proofreading skills to ensure high-quality content and assessment questions.
  • Project Management: Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete in a time efficient manner, required.
  • Strong customer service/client-oriented skills, required.
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, required.    
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, required.
  • Ability to consult with professionals at all levels within the organization, required.
