Context:

 

The North America Strategy Manager position is part of the PARP Strategy team.

He/she is responsible for defining and implementing, together with Sales and Operations, the long-term business strategies for North America.

He/she analyzes internal and external factors, identify opportunities and risks, and translates strategic plans into actionable initiatives.

This involves collaborating with various teams (Sales, Operations, Finance) and senior leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution.

The role is also responsible for initiating/coordinating specific projects in business development as well as industry-led projects (e.g. beverage container deposit)

He/she is also representing CSTM in the different trade associations like Aluminum Association (AA), Canmaker Institute (CMI) or Coalition for High Performance Recycling (CHPR) to help us to deploy our strategy.

 

 

 

 

Primary Purpose & Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Planning
    • Developing and updating the company's strategic plan, including setting objectives, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and establishing timelines.
  • Market Analysis
    • Conducting research to understand industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.
  • Project Management
    • Overseeing the implementation of strategic projects and ensuring they align with the plan (eg industry led deposit)
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Working with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for strategic initiatives.
  • Strategic studies:
    • Ad hoc support in preparing analysis and executive presentations concerning market, competition, financials, etc.

  • Able to manage workload picks and ad-hoc requests
  • Able to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in business or related field
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint competencies (PowerBI skills will be a plus)
  • Fluent in English; French and/or German will be a plus
  • Able to travel (10-15%)
