Primary Purpose
As part of the Constellium Group FP&A team, the FP&A Analyst Intern will contribute to the financial planning and analysis processes.
Your primary missions will consist in:
• Assisting in the monthly reporting processes and longer-term projections.
• Performing Financial analyses and modeling to better understand the impact of business operations on financials.
Key Accountabilities
Reporting to the Group FP&A Manager in charge of P&L analysis, you will partner with him in his regular tasks:
• Coordinating the Group financial projections (monthly Forecasts, longer-term submissions), issuing instructions and assumptions to the Business Units.
• Consolidating and preparing data for our Group controller, CFO, Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
• Reviewing Business Unit projections and performing profitability analyses (topline drivers, cost structures) to understand main deviations vs. prior submissions.
• Working on ad-hoc requests as they emerge to support corporate decision making at executive level (e.g. pricing, inflation tracking, passthrough mechanisms, risks and opportunities, sensitivities, etc…).
• In addition, based on profile and time, work on transformation projects and continuous improvement of processes and dashboards (including non-financial indicators).
What You Can Expect

• Get daily exposure and coaching from a 15+ years’ experience finance team.
• Learn about the aluminum transformation industry and get a strong understanding of LME market, FX exposure and ways to mitigate the risk.
• Learn how to run efficiently a group reporting activity, the level of expectations and how-to communicate to senior executives and investors.
Skills
• 3-5 years of highly competitive education.
• Critical thinking, curiosity and a strong interest analyzing figures.
• Problem solving skills, able to draw an hypothesis with limited information.
• Strong autonomy and clear thinking, able to explain in simple words a complex issue.
• Ability to work in a team environment leveraging resources outside your close team.
• Very robust command of English (primary language of work), strong ease with Excel (linking sheets, formatting, pivots…) and Powerpoint.
• Good understanding of P&L, BS and CFs, having financial analysis experience either through internships or courses.
• Outstanding integrity, in particular when it comes to analyzing performance information.
Desired
• Corporate Finance, Business management or Accounting degree.
• First experience in financial planning in corporate FP&A role in an industrial group.
• Willingness to work in a demanding environment with multiple deliverables.
• French proficiency.
