Constellium participating to the 15th International ESAFORM Conference

Constellium will participate to the 15th International ESAFORM Conference on Material Forming taking place at the German University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from March 14 to 16, 2012.

About ESAFORM 2012

The ESAFORM, European Scientific Association For Material Forming, conferences aim at gathering every year all types of materials specialists around all topics related to material forming.

The 2012 edition is organized around 19 mini-symposia among which the following ones:

  • Formability of metallic materials,
  • Forging and rolling,
  • Light weight design and energy efficiency in metal forming,
  • New and advanced numerical strategies for material forming,
  • Extrusion and drawing,
  • Constitutive models for metallic alloys,
  • Nano-structured materials and microforming,
  • Innovative joining by forming technologies,
  • Etc.

About Constellium’s participation

With its leading R&D center located in Voreppe (France) dedicated to aluminium and its alloys, Constellium is a key contributor to numerous aluminium material innovations and will be represented at ESAFORM 2012 by Dominique Daniel, Senior Scientist at Voreppe.

Dominique Daniel will take part to the “Constitutive models for metallic alloys” mini-symposium at 10.30 am on March 15th as a co-author of “Texture Based Finite Element Simulation of a Two-Step Can Forming Process” with V. Glavas (Ph. D. student), Prof. T. Böhlke (Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie) and C. Leppin.
