Constellium and the Ecomusée d’Alsace establish connections with aluminum knots!
By creating new aluminum signage, Constellium participates in the 2012 Season of the Ecomusée d’Alsace.
Paris - July 3rd, 2012 - The Ecomusée d’Alsace has reopened its doors for the 2012 season with new signage created from aluminum produced by Constellium’s Specialty Sheet business unit in its Neuf-Brisach plant.
Constellium worked closely with the project team to create this new signage, including a set designer, Constellium’s production and communication representatives, an aluminum metalworker, and the Director of the Ecomusée d’Alsace, M. Pascal Schmitt.
The Ecomusée d’Alsace is dedicated to the regional popular arts and traditions, and revived its rural heritage. Also a training center, it responds in an original way to its three-fold mission of conservation, transmission and commemoration.
To mark the opening of the 2012 season of the Ecomusée d’Alsace, M. Schmitt warmly thanked Constellium for its support on the project. “These are true works of art in line with Alsatian imagery and are fully in keeping with the future,” he commented. “Constellium’s participation was key to this project and totally in line with the general purpose and theme of the Ecomusée d’Alsace’s philosophy,” Pascal Schmitt added.
“We are proud to have contributed to this major cultural and environmental initiative of the Alsace region. Constellium was able to share with the Ecomusée d’Alsace its vision of eco-construction,” stated Philippe Abeillon, Neuf-Brisach Plant Manager.
This new knot-shaped signage stakes the course of the museum visit and serves as a visual and audible landmark to visitors. The choice of the knot shape is a tribute to Alsace and to the link between the cultures of the region, between tradition and the future.
